Unlike the retail release, the demo tape retains the original Buena Vista logo at the start of the film, and is the only pre-2007 video release of the film to do so.
Now we just go through and take a ton of DVD's and they all fit into a CD case and their is no rewinding. The Jungle Book was one of the few Classics tapes to have a proper demo tape with different previews. Back in the VCR day's their was sooooo many cases going and falling all over the back of the van.not to mention rewinding. We had a selection ranging from good old Disney Classics to action movies and to comidy.ĭVD also work so well when traveling in the van. A good friend was in the hospital for cancer and we gathered up a collection of our DVD's and took them for him to watch on his portable DVD player. We have a rather large selection of DVD's and there is never a time that someone can't find something they want to watch. And I feel the Jungle Book is among that list. Disney 16-bit Classics: Aladdin + The Lion King + The Jungle Book - Disney 16-bit Classics: Aladdin + The Lion King + The Jungle Book. Their are some movies you just don't ever outgrow. As you probably know Disney only offers their best for a short period of time and then it doesn't happen again for around 10 years before they are offered again.

We switched over to DVD's from VCR's a while back and I have been looking for this DVD ever since. The Jungle Book is one of my favs though, after buying the new release on DVD, I realized that I love this movie now more than ever.

I give this a five start rating! Read full review This is a great animated example of fundamentals of life that can ease children into life's lessons and also providing adults with a reminder of the significance of life. Only too often we rush thro ugh life rather than taking the time to stop and smell the roses or appreciate the fundamental parts of life such as the ability to taste a wonderful meal, enjoy the sun on our face or just appreciate the bare necessities of life. My particular favorite is when the animated character "Baloo" sings the song "Bare Necessities". Rather than focusing on the excellent animation in the movie by itself, if you watch the movie (and yes, it is an animated "movie") with a focus on the words, themes and especially the lyrics to the songs, you will gain a new appreciation to this great work of art.
